DagMuCorR: Dagstuhl Description Schema of Music Corpora for Research

DagMuCorR is a description schema for corpora of music used for research purposes. Its intention is to inform interested researchers very quickly about the content and extent of a music corpus, its availability and how to obtain it for their own research. On this page maintainers of music corpora can find templates for a DagMuCorR description in different formats that allow them to publish the most important information about their corpus very quickly and easily.
The goal of having a description scheme and a common (and unique) name for it (dagmucorr) is that comparable information about research music corpora can be found very easily on the web. Hopefully, this will stimulate research on large music corpora as well as facilitating the exchange of information about corpora.
DagMuCorR was conceived resulting from a workshop session on Researching Music Corpora as part of the seminar Knowledge representation for intelligent music processing at Schloss Dagstuhl in January 2009. The full report of that workshop session can be found here.
