Autodesk Fusion 360

Fusion 360 is a CAD (computer aided design), CAM (computer aided manufacturing) and CAE (computer aided engineering) software that allows you to model, design and simulate in the same programme. Primarily, we will begin using it to model objects in 2D and 3D, which we can then fabricate using the machines at HatchLabs. Fusion 360 is free for students: download here

2D Drawing

Every fusion 360 project begins with a sketch! This is particularly useful for fabricating your designs using the laser cutter (adobe illustrator is another option we recommend):

3D printing
