Taking student meeting notes
Note: Students are able to see and read these notes, they are a useful tool for both you and the student to keep a record of what you discussed.
- Navigate to the department intranet following this link: https://www.doc.gold.ac.uk/dept/Intranet
- Click on the "Student Records" option.
- Search for the student you are meeting with by typing in the text box under "Name". You can just type their first or last name to get a short list. Press enter after typing to run the search query.
- Click on the student's name in the resulting list.
- Click on the "Meetings" tab.
- Click the "New Meeting" button at the bottom of the list (there may be no list if there have been no previous meetings).
- Record what you and the student discuss. Note any action points that either you or the student will take as a result of the meeting.
- Press the "save" button at the top of the form to save the meeting.
- Note that meeting notes can be edited after being saved if you wish to amend the notes.
