Biography
I am a Researcher in the Department of Computing at Goldsmiths, University of
London, now working on developing new technologies for seamless audio-visual
interactions between groups of people. This work is carried out within the
ta2 (together anytime, together anywhere) EU funded project.
The research team that I am working in - the Narrative and Interactive Media group - together with other research teams in Computing from BT (UK), Joanneum
Research (Austria), and Telefonica (Spain), and in Media Productions from
Illuminations Media (UK), University of Cambridge (UK), University of Arts and
Design Helsinki (Finland), University of Malmo (Sweden), and University of
Ulster (UK), have developed a new type of media:
ShapeShifting Media. The bulk of this work was carried out within the
EU funded project
nm2 (new millennium, new media).
I hold an "Inginer" degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the
Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Before my current position, I
worked on AI related and engineering projects concerned with model-based
analysis and systems modelling at DaimlerChrysler AG, Research and Technology
in
Berlin and in
Shanghai. Since 2006 I am also working on my PhD on the topic of
authoring, formal representation and inference for reconfigurable visual
narratives.
