PhD/MPhil Supervision

I supervise PhD/MPhil students in any suitable research area involved with algorithm design and analysis in Computer Science, theoretical or application..

Candidates

Ideal candidates would have a

• MSc or BSc(>=2.1) in
  • Computer Science or
  • Computing or
  • Mathematics or
  • Physics or
  • Electronics or
  • Biology or
  • Psychology, or
• MMus or BMus(>=2.1), or
• equivalent.

Contact and apply to the Admissions Office if you are a home student, or the International Office if you are an overseas student.  You need to fill an application form . To speed up the application process, you may 

1. email me your CV and your research proposal
2. put a note such as "I wish to be supervised by Dr Ida Pu" on the front page of your application form.

Current PhD Students

I currently supervise five PhD students in Computer Science, four are MSc graduates and one is a first-class BSc graduate, working in area of Algorithmics with application in Data Compression, and in Data Communications and Networking.
