Last year i wrote<a title=\"International Women\u2019s Day \u2013 Women in Computing\" href=\"http:\/\/www.doc.gold.ac.uk\/blog\/?p=134\"> this post <\/a>about some of the women in our Dept including the wonderful <a href=\"http:\/\/doc.gold.ac.uk\/~mas01kd\/\">Dr Kate Devlin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year I would like to welcome <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gold.ac.uk\/music\/staff\/abtan\/\">Freida Abtan<\/a> to Goldsmiths. Freida will be heading up the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gold.ac.uk\/ug\/bmus-bsc-music-computing\/\" target=\"_blank\">BSc Music Computing <\/a>programme and is based in both Music and Computing. The workshop will be run by Sophie McDonald of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mztek.org\/\">MzTek<\/a>. It&#8217;s going to be smashing.
