{"id":2508,"date":"2017-09-26T14:50:52","date_gmt":"2017-09-26T14:50:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.doc.gold.ac.uk\/blog\/?p=2508"},"modified":"2017-09-29T09:03:56","modified_gmt":"2017-09-29T09:03:56","slug":"find-your-way-to-computing-labs-at-goldsmiths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.doc.gold.ac.uk\/blog\/?p=2508","title":{"rendered":"Find your way to Computing labs at Goldsmiths"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Newcomers sometimes find it difficult to find their\u00a0way around the Goldsmiths campus, so here&#8217;s a video\u00a0guide to locating\u00a0our Computing labs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>RHB 306, Richard Hoggart Building<\/li>\n<li>RHB 306a, Richard Hoggart Building<\/li>\n<li>St James Block 3 ground floor<\/li>\n<li>Hatchlab, G11 Hatcham St James Building<\/li>\n<li>WB 219 and Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre, Whitehead Building<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NB:\u00a0All of these labs are wheelchair accessible, but the directions below\u00a0sometimes assume an ability to climb stairs. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gold.ac.uk\/computing\/contact\/\">Please contact us<\/a> if you need accessible directions.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>RHB 306, Richard Hoggart Building<\/strong><br \/>\nThe big computing lab on the second floor of the Richard Hoggart Building (the main, old red brick building). From reception, turn left and go up the red corridor.\u00a0Take Staircase B to the second floor. Then take the 4-5 steps in front of you, and head left into RHB 306.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XDUojOulA2s?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>RHB 306a, Richard Hoggart Building<\/strong><br \/>\nYou&#8217;d think that this would be right next to RHB 306, wouldn&#8217;t you? It is, but you access it from the other side of the building.\u00a0From the Richard Hoggart Building reception, turn right\u00a0and go up the white\u00a0corridor.\u00a0Take Staircase F\u00a0to the second floor. Go straight ahead\u00a0into RHB 306.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3X4wqFe1S-M?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>St James Block 3 ground floor<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is the\u00a0most difficult to find! From Goldsmiths College Green, go down the back of the Whitehead Building. Follow the road down the hill until you reach TCIDA (Tungsten Centre for Intelligent Data Analytics). Turn right and walk towards St James Block 3, which looks like a big mobile classroom.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/g-EFpgrML-Q?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Hatchlab, G11 Hatcham St James Building<br \/>\n<\/strong>This is the cool maker space in the back of &#8216;the church&#8217;. From Goldsmiths College Green, go though the gate at the top of Laurie Grove. Go down\u00a0the little alleyway next to the Laban Centre, and you&#8217;ll see the church in front of you. Hatchlab (aka G11) is at the back of the ground floor. Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre is on the ground floor.
