Sherwin was guest curator of &#8216;Film in Space&#8217; an exhibition of expanded cinema at Camden Arts Centre. His films have screened at\u00a0\u00a0Hayward Gallery, Whitechapel Gallery,\u00a0Tate Modern\u00a0and\u00a0Tate Britain.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z-4qOuCnR6g?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lazaruscorporation.co.uk\/artists\/alice-kemp\/audio-releases\">Alice Kemp<\/a>\u00a0&gt;&gt; live art performance<\/strong><br \/>\nKemp works with dream-image-language and subtle trance states to create live-art performances and audio compositions. Her practice involves composition, public and private rituals, doll-making, drawing and painting. Her performances have been described as hypnotic, intense, unnerving, beautiful, dark and reflective, aggressive, confusing, meditative, pointless, brave, sensual, baffling, delicate, and absurd.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/166404710&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\" height=\"166\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.info.simonkatan.co.uk\">Simon Katan<\/a> &gt;&gt;\u00a0&#8216;Conditional Love&#8217; &#8211; participatory networked device performance<\/strong><br \/>\nKatan is a digital artist with a background in music and a strong preoccupation with games and play. His work incorporates hidden mechanisms, emergent behaviour, paradox, self-reference, inconsistency, abstract humour, absurdity and wonder. He is a researcher and lecturer at Goldsmiths\u2019 Embodied Audio Visual Interactions group.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heatherross.co.uk\">Heather Ross<\/a> &gt;&gt;\u00a0Domestic Dawn Chorus<\/strong><br \/>\nRoss is concerned with how human experience is mediated, by exploring the tensions between reality and representation. How do the technologies of reproduction and representation affect the way we understand the world through our senses? Dealing with themes of alienation, melancholy, remoteness, disembodiment and longing, her\u00a0work conjoins realities and fictions, to convey ambiguous environments, spaces and forms.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.claireundy.com\">Claire Undy<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/billleslie.co.uk\">Bill Leslie<\/a> &gt;&gt;\u00a0Video work<\/strong><br \/>\nClaire Undy is an artist and curator, working largely with performance, video and time-based media. She graduated from the Royal Academy Schools in 2016, and co-founded the curatorial project Skelf.\u00a0Bill Leslie is a visual artist whose\u00a0work draws on Modern abstract sculpture, 1950s B-movies, as well as Russian Constructivism and modern architecture. Concerned with the relationship of sculpture and the photographic image, his works develop through transformations of scale, context and media.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Sunday 11 December<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.soundsofeurope.eu\/artist\/lee-patterson\/\">Lee Patterson<\/a> &gt;&gt;\u00a0Amplified devices and processes<\/strong><br \/>\nWorking across various forms, including improvised music, field recording, film soundtrack and installation, Patterson attempts to understand his surroundings through different ways of listening.\u00a0Characterised by revealing subliminal and barely audible sound materials within commonplace things, his unorthodox approach to generating sound has led to collaborations with a host of international artists and musicians.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/193727432&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\" height=\"166\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/aineodwyer.bandcamp.com\">\u00c1ine O&#8217;Dwyer<\/a> &gt;&gt; DJ set\u00a0with field recordings<\/strong><br \/>\nWith a background combining Irish traditional music and contemporary performance, \u00c1ine O\u2019Dwyer creates multi-layered, experiential work that begs questions of historicism and the social proximities of the everyday, as well as the presumed nature of records themselves. For this DJ set, she will play her collection of field recordings, drawing on her knowledge of the acoustics of the Brunel Tunnel from her two year residency there.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"http:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=475861966\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" seamless=\"\"><a href=\"http:\/\/aineodwyer.bandcamp.com\/album\/safely-adrift\">Safely adrift by \u00c1ine O&#8217;Dwyer<\/a><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/howlround.co.uk\">Howlround<\/a> &gt;&gt;\u00a0Live tape manipulation on 3 reel-to-reel machines, tape loops stretching across the space&#8230;<\/strong><br \/>\nHowlround create recordings and performances entirely from manipulating natural acoustic sounds on vintage reel-to-reel tape machines, with additional reverb or electronic effects strictly forbidden \u2013 a process that has seen their work compared to William Basinski, Philip Jeck, Morton Feldman and the sculptures of Rachel Whiteread.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px;\" src=\"https:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=1522550253\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/transparent=true\/\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" seamless=\"\"><a href=\"http:\/\/fandf.bandcamp.com\/album\/the-blow-volume-2\">The Blow Volume 2 by Time Attendant &amp; Howlround<\/a><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wajidyaseen.com\">Wajid Yaseen<\/a>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elliottart.co.uk\/art\/4585311527\">Anthony Elliot<\/a> &gt;&gt;\u00a0Oscillators, Extended vocal performance, drawn circuits<\/strong><br \/>\nAnthony &amp; Wajid\u2019s &#8216;Crossing Lines&#8217; recently opened the Tempting Failure festival. An improvised vocal and sound-drawing performance, it\u00a0involved Wajid Yaseen&#8217;s experiments in extended vocal techniques with Anthony Elliott&#8217;s sculpture-sound-printing rheostat to explore a balance between all-gate square wave generators that allow on-off vocal input.
