This May, Goldsmiths Computing\u00a0students are invited to our Computing Careers fair to meet potential\u00a0employers and kick-start your career.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When:<\/strong> 1.00 – 4.00pm Wednesday 18th May 2016
\nWhere:<\/strong> RHB 274, Richard Hoggart Building, Goldsmiths<\/p>\n

As the academic year comes to a close, here is an opportunity for our students to meet employers from across the computing sector, including IT consulting, tech and software development.\u00a0There will also be a chance to discover\u00a0opportunities with design studios and other creative roles.<\/p>\n

Confirmed exhibitors include Hewlett Packard<\/a>,\u00a0Euromoney<\/a>,\u00a0Sogeti UK<\/a>, GradIT<\/a>, QA Gateway<\/a>\u00a0and Vassit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The event will\u00a0include:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. an exhibition where you can meet employers on a one-to-one basis<\/li>\n
  2. a programme of talks to give you an insight into developing relevant skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2.00-2.30pm \u2013 Shay Olupona, Hewlett Packard
    \n<\/strong>Goldsmiths alumnus Shay Olupona will be discussing his experiences of the Hewlett Packard graduate scheme and his current role within one of HPs most high profile projects. He will give an insight into the industry from his perspective as a recent graduate and offer some advice for students looking to secure their first role, as well as tips for the HP application process.<\/p>\n

    2.30-3.00pm \u2013 Helen Kempster, Goldsmiths Careers Service
    \n<\/strong>Helen will lead this session to help you think about how to put together a successful CV or application for the IT and computing sector. We will look at some examples, and you will get tips on how to make your applications stand out from the crowd.<\/p>\n
